This mural began long before I knew it would ever become a mural. I kept finding myself drawing little buildings tucked inside trees, inspired by walks through the woods and the feeling that there might be an entire world hiding just beyond what we can see. There was no collection or finished plan in mind. I simply loved making them and felt curious enough to keep going.

When the opportunity came to create a mural for Spoonflower, those little drawings finally had the space they needed to grow. The trees could wander, paths could wind between them, and an entire village could begin to take shape.

Tree Village became a reminder to follow the ideas that spark something in us, even when we don’t know exactly where they’re going. Sometimes curiosity is enough of a reason to begin, and sometimes the most unexpected ideas just need a little room to become something more.
